Vascular Malformation

A-V malformation is abnormal connection between artery, vein and lymphatics. Most common causes are trauma, developmental and congenital.

Symptoms

  • Swelling in hand or leg that gradually increase in size and is compressible.
  • Pain over swelling.
  • Pain and swelling affected limb site to compression of nerve.

Treatment

  • Surgery. Excision of swelling.
  • Embolization. To decrease blood flow.
  • sclerotherapy.
