Deep Vein Thrombosis

DVT is blood clot in deep veins of legs and hand. Its fatal condition can lead to clot migration to lung and pulmonary embolization. If left untreated can lead to varicose vein, swelling and non-healing wounds.

Symptoms

  • Sudden swelling in leg or hand
  • Pain

Treatment

  • Immediate blood thinner
  • Pharmaco mechanical thrombectomy to dissolve and remove the clot
  • Thrombolysis to dissolve clot.
  • Graduated compression stocking.
